I WANT TO DO MEDICINE BUT I DONT HAVE PHYSICAL SCIENCE AND LIFE SCIENCE.WHAT CAN I DO? asked by Anonymous

its never too late to start. you will have to work harder then some though but if you feel like it is your life calling and it is what you are meant to do then it should be worth it. Are you still in school? Because at any point in your degree you can redeem that in a semester. First if I were you I would so research to find out what branch of medicine you are interested in maybe you can get lucky and only need one of those subjects. I hope that is the case so your stress level can go down and you can enjoy the journey. Sounds sappy but its what i’m going through right now and I wish I could enjoy it more then stressing out so much. What you should is go to your guidance counselor or if you have one at your school  and go to the career development center or CDC (if not the local community college or college in general will have it). I worked at one for over a year and i can’t tell you how much we helped people with the same issues. They also do resume reviews and mock interviews!

Here are a list of websites that should help you:

http://www.medicaljobs.org/

https://www.aamc.org/students/medstudents/cim/

http://library.thinkquest.org/15569/car1a.html

here is the test we would give the people that would come in to find a career (it should be the sign up page that pops up for you, it’s free don’t worry and it doesn’t matter if you live in florida or even america for that matter): https://access.bridges.com/auth/createStudentPortfolioForm.do

that website has A LOT of info for colleges and beyond. If you need help taking the test feel free to message me again.

Once you figured out what your career will be you can google how to become ___. You should find a list of what you need to take, testing requirements etc.

If it is a case where you just can’t pass the subject they should have remedial courses. However with these the colleges you apply to to become what you want to be might frown upon it and hinder if not cancel your application and you might not be considered. BUT I have heard of people who were so passionate and impressive in their interviews and voluntary work etc that it redeemed them. I guess it all depends.

I hope this helped, if not please message again- anon or not i don’t mind either way.
